Sakari’! I’m Arnulfo G. Oxlaj (pronounced “Osh-lah”), a Mayan medicine man, guide, teacher, motivational speaker, peace activist and artist from Guatemala, and author of the forthcoming book, The Eyes of the Soul. Born, blind, deaf and mute during the holocaust of my people, the K’iche’ Mayans, I received my sight, hearing and voice when I was eight years old. However, while I was blind I could still see – using what I call the eyes of my soul. I could see beyond walls, I could see the answers to life’s greatest mysteries, and humanity’s great struggles. And I could see people’s hearts and souls crying out for peace.
When I survived a child massacre in my village, I managed to transfrom my pain into peace, into action for love and generosity for my people, and started to go to from house to house with natural medicine, food and words of hope.
Today, using my gift of inner sight and the wisdom of my ancestors, I help guide people to stop suffering and start living the incredible life and mission they were born to live by developing Soul Intelligence so that they may finally give the great gift that they are to the world without having to search the whole world for answers or make any more mistakes, or doubt whether they are on the right path.
